Customers always feel bother when order meals while watching movies.

在高級電影院點餐的時候常常感覺被打擾,破壞觀影體驗。

Goal

Improve the process of ordering snacks and beverages when watching movies.

改善觀影途中的點餐流程。

Understanding the user

Summary

In the beginning of this project, I considered to design an ordering snacks app in movie theaters. After I did some survey of people. I found out that most people feeling annoyed when they order meals in high price theaters. So I decided to design an ordering meal chatbot to improve the ordering process.

起初的構想是設計一款能在一般電影戲院點餐的app,經過幾位訪談者之後,決定將產品的使用場景定位在類似威秀MUCROWN的高級影廳,並且將產品方向修正為Line Chatbot,讓使用者無需另外下載應用程式即可使用,增加便利與可行性。

Pain point

Feel bothered ordering snacks or beverages when watching movies.

不想在看電影途中為了點餐被打擾。

Can’t image what the meals look like on the menu.

餐點沒有附圖,沒辦法想像是什麼樣的餐點。

Want to order meals and snacks more easy and convenient.

希望能用更簡單便利的方式點餐。

Angela
Problem Statement

Angela is a blogger who needs enjoy the movie and meals without disturb because when she order foods or ask for service waiters were always interrupted her watch movie.

安卓菈是個部落客,她想要在觀影體驗不被打擾的情況下訂購餐點。

Justin
Problem Statement

Justin is a CTO who likes take his wife watch movie on weekend. He needs to order meals with picture because when he ordered meals in movie theaters he can’t imaged how was the meal look like.

賈斯丁是公司的技術長,他常常在假日陪同他的妻子去看電影,他需要在訂購餐點的時候能看到圖片以幫助他想像餐點的樣子。

User journy map

After viewed some bloggers experiences and interviewed some people about they watched movies in high price movie theater. I found that the ordering snacks process needs be more easy and efficent.

經過了訪談以及搜尋了各家部落客對於高級影廳的分享,訂購餐點的流程還有很大的優化空間。

Usability study: findings

After I finished my lo-fi prototype. I asked 6 people to helped me for the usability study test. I found 3 points to improve my app. And I adjusted the user flow.

Need spended time finded how to order meals.

People felt impeintant used credit card to checked out.

More easy way to fail in the seat number.

Accessibility considerations

LINE chatbot can easily guide users know how to start. People don’t have to download a new app. And feel more friendly with ShowShow chatbot.

Users can choose different payment options. They don’t have to find cash and coin in the dark theater.

If users need other help they can still press other service to call the waiter/waitress.

Next steps

Add a survey page when movies over. Customers can fail in the questionnaire to help theater improve there service.

Add ordering tickets function. Users can ordering tickets through the ShowShow chatbot.
